ARMY

Cordant Inc., Reston, Va., is being awarded a fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) contract with a cumulative total of $375,248,108 for the purchase of support hardware and automation related products (generic) (SHARP(G)), to provide the Military Health Service System (MHSS) the ability to procure state-of-the-art servers, components, communication products, operating systems, development tools, and software for use at desired locations worldwide. Work will be performed in Reston, Va., and is expected to be completed by August 4, 1999. There were 342 bids solicited on April 11, 1996, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Service-Washington, Washington, D.C. (DASW01-97-D-0095).

Work will be performed in Falls Church, Va., and is expected to be completed by August 4, 1999. There were 342 bids solicited on April 11, 1996, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Service-Washington, Washington, D.C. (DASW01-97-D-0098).

Savi Technology, Mountain View, Calif., is being awarded $100,000 of a $111,700,000 indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity/firm-fixed-price contract for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems. The RFID contract will provide active and passive hardware, software, and services to system designers and integrators throughout the Department of Defense and the U.S. Coast Guard. The RFID systems will provide an integrated structure for logistics tracking, locating, and monitoring. Equipment includes fixed, hand-held and transportable RFID interrogators, and a family of RFID transponders (tags) for worldwide use. Software includes equipment operating systems and application development software. Services include maintenance of equipment and software, training, and technical engineering services. The technical engineering services include integration of RFID components, site analysis and survey, and problem solving (includes communications, interfaces with other government systems, and systems integration). Work will be performed in Mountain View, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 17 bids solicited on April 15, 1997, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command Acquisition Center, Washington (DAAB07-97-D-V007).

Boston Transit Group*, Wakefield, Mass., is being awarded a $13,722,500 firm-fixed-price contract for 321 flat railway cars. Work will be performed in Cleburne, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Feb. 23, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 48 bids solicited on Dec. 5, 1996, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis, Mo. (DAAK01-97-C-0028).

AIR FORCE

MacAulay Brown, Inc., Dayton, Ohio, is being awarded a $16,300,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for labor, supplies, materials, travel, equipment, and facilities, required to provide general support to the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, Kirtland AFB, N.M. This effort will include planning and execution of feasibility studies, and managing and reporting in support of test and evaluation activities. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. At this time, $164,000 of the contract funds are obligated. Phillips Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, N.M., is the contracting activity (F29601-97/D-0140).

NAVY

Hughes Aircraft Company, Naval and Maritime Systems, Fullerton, Calif., is being awarded a $10,660,546 cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide technical and production engineering services in support of the Program Executive Office, Theater Air Defense (PEO TAD) in Arlington, Va. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (91%), and Fullerton, Calif. (9%), and is expected to be completed by April 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-97-C-5466).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $13,169,989 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-96-C-0029 to provide services and supplies to support the undergraduate jet pilot training for the T-45A aircraft. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (35%); Kingsville, Texas (60%); and Patuxent River, Md. (5%), and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

  • Morrison Knudsen Corp., Cleveland, Ohio, is being awarded a $1,201,811 modification to previously awarded contract N62467-93-D-1106 for environmental remedial action at the Ground Water Treatment Facility at Naval Industrial Reserve Ordnance Plant, Fridley, Minn.
  • The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $300,000,000. Work will be performed Fridley, Minn., and is expected to be completed by January 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.
