BORO Developers, Incorporated, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $35,156,699 increment as part of a $39,204,314 fixed price contract for construction of a KC-10 Maintenance Hangar Complex. The project is to construct a new state of the art, approximately 150,000 square foot military aircraft maintenance facility to support the U.S. Air Force's KC-10 aircraft. The new facility incorporates three aircraft maintenance bays consisting of a fuel systems maintenance dock, a corrosion control facility and an "A" check bay as well as support space, warehouse space, and administrative areas. The building is a structural steel space frame structure covered with a 12 foot high concrete protection panel around the base of the structure and with insulated metal panel siding above. The roof system is 4 ply coal tar built up roof over a metal deck with mineral surface. Hangar doors are the horizontal sliding type. The project work also includes the installation of utilities. Demolition of an existing fighter hangar and removal of asbestos within it is also included in this work. BORO Developers, Incorporated, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $24,057,604 fixed price contract for construction of a hydrant fueling system, petroleum/ oil/lubricant (POL) facility, and ramp addition. The project includes construction of a new 11,500 square foot consolidated POL operations refueling maintenance facility to include a preventive maintenance area and concrete parking for fuel trucks and hydrant services. Containment curbing and security lighting area is required.
