ARMY

Beech Aerospace Services, Incorporated, Madison, Mississippi, is being awarded a $73,159,280 modification to a firm fixed price contract for the 4th year of a 5 year contract for logistic and maintenance support of the Army fixed wing aircraft fleet. Work will be performed at various beddown sites worldwide, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1996. Of the total contract funds, $73,159,280 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 18 bids solicited on July 31, 1990, and one bid received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis, Missouri (DAAJ09-92-C-0009).

GTE Government Systems Corporation, Taunton, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $1,730,000 increment as part of a $10,965,846 cost plus fixed fee contract for Mobile Subscriber Equipment (MSE) Shelter Overhaul Phase II (MSO II). The project provides MSE/Multi-service Communication Systems (MSCS) overhaul for 150 up to 300 shelters. Effort is to fully refurbish the shelters, bringing them to a "like new" condition. Work will be performed in Taunton, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed by April 30, 1996. Of the total contract funds, $1,730,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 4 bids solicited on June 29, 1994, and one bid received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey (DAAB07-95-C-F003).

Mine Safety Appliances Company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $15,224,430 firm fixed price contract for 129,274 M40A1 Chemical-Biological Protective Masks (SM/MED/LG) and 11,139 M42A1 Chemical-Biological Protective Masks (SM/MED/LG) for Saudi Arabia. Work will be performed in Esmond, Rhode Island, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1996. Of the total contract funds, $154,362 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 2 bids solicited on October 12, 1994, and 2 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Illinois (DAAE20-95-C-0100).

BORO Developers, Incorporated, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $35,156,699 increment as part of a $39,204,314 fixed price contract for construction of a KC-10 Maintenance Hangar Complex. The project is to construct a new state of the art, approximately 150,000 square foot military aircraft maintenance facility to support the U.S. Air Force's KC-10 aircraft. The new facility incorporates three aircraft maintenance bays consisting of a fuel systems maintenance dock, a corrosion control facility and an "A" check bay as well as support space, warehouse space, and administrative areas. The building is a structural steel space frame structure covered with a 12 foot high concrete protection panel around the base of the structure and with insulated metal panel siding above. The roof system is 4 ply coal tar built up roof over a metal deck with mineral surface. Hangar doors are the horizontal sliding type. The project work also includes the installation of utilities. Demolition of an existing fighter hangar and removal of asbestos within it is also included in this work. Work will be performed at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey, and is expected to be completed by February 28, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 53 bids solicited on November 18, 1994, and 5 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York, New York (DACA51-95-C-0021).

BORO Developers, Incorporated, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $24,057,604 fixed price contract for construction of a hydrant fueling system, petroleum/ oil/lubricant (POL) facility, and ramp addition. The project includes construction of a new 11,500 square foot consolidated POL operations refueling maintenance facility to include a preventive maintenance area and concrete parking for fuel trucks and hydrant services. Containment curbing and security lighting area is required. A new JP-8 hydrant fueling system with two 25,000 BL storage tanks, isolated valve pits each capable of unloading 1200 gpm, pumphose, emergency standby generator, two new truck fillstands, approximately 131,500 square yards of asphalt pavement removal, sub-base removal, new topsoil and grading for drainage are also included. A new 38,000 square yard concrete parking ramp for KC-10 aircraft is included in the scope of work, as well as ramp lighting, asphalt shoulders, and taxiway lighting. Work will be performed at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey, and is expected to be completed by February 28, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 59 bids solicited on November 10, 1994, and 5 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York, New York (DACA51-95-C-0022).

NAVY

Grumman Aerospace Corporation, Bethpage, New York, is being awarded a letter contract with a ceiling value of $17,486,000 to retrofit two E-2C aircraft from a Group I configuration to a Group II configuration. This effort will remove outdated avionics boxes from the E-2C aircraft and replace them with newer avionics boxes. Work will be performed in St. Augustine, Florida (75%), Bethpage, New York (24%), and Milledgeville, Georgia (1%), and is expected to be completed by July 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00019-94-C-0068).

Chrysler Technologies Airborne Systems, Inc., Waco, Texas, is being awarded a $95,490,292 cost-plus-award-fee contract to modify six E-6A TACAMO aircraft to the E-6B configuration. This modification will allow the Navy to meet its Joint Chiefs of Staff operational requirements by consolidating nuclear command and control into a single airborne platform. Work will be performed in Waco, Texas, and is expected to be completed by July 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00019-94-C-0024).

Fairchild Space & Defense, Germantown, Maryland, is being awarded a $12,163,828 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for design and engineering services in support of spacecraft development. Work will be performed in Germantown, Maryland (95%), and at the Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, D.C. (5%), and is expected to be completed by January 1996. Contract funds in the amount of $50,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract contains two option years, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $37,122,776. This contract was competitively procured with 64 proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00014-95-C-2010).

General Dynamics Corporation, Electric Boat Division, Groton, Connecticut, is being awarded a $17,509,666 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-95-C-2101 to exercise an option for OMNIBUS design agent, engineering, and technical services for Ohio Class submarines. Work will be performed in Groton, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed by September 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

American Telephone & Telegraph Co., (Advanced Technology Systems), Greensboro, North Carolina, is being awarded a $35,600,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 126 AN/UYS-2A(V) SEM E production units and kits. The AN/UYS-2 is the Navy's next generation standard signal processors for ship, shore, submarine, and aircraft anti-submarine warfare. Work will be performed in Greensboro, North Carolina (90%), and Whippany, New Jersey (10%), and is expected to be completed by April 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. Trataros Construction, Inc., Brooklyn, New York, is being awarded a $13,222,705 firm-fixed-price contract for the modernization of bachelor quarters at the Naval Submarine Base, New London, Connecticut. Work is expected to be completed by July 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 100 proposals solicited and four offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Northern Division, Lester, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity (N62472-90-C-0087).

Titan Corporation, Titan Linkabit Division, San Diego, California, is being awarded a $12,299,584 modification to previously awarded contract N00039-89-C-0281 for the fabrication, testing and delivery of 32 AN/USC-42(V)1 Mini Demand Assigned Multiple Access (Mini-DAMA) communication sets for ships and submarines. Work will be performed in San Diego, California, and is expected to be completed by December 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Norfolk Shipbuilding & Drydock Corp., Norfolk, Virginia, is being awarded a $25,951,753 firm-fixed-price contract for the repair, overhaul, upgrade, and drydocking of the Military Sealift Command combat stores ship USNS Concord (T-AFS 5). The overhaul consists of major cargo upgrades, including the installation of two elevators and replacement of underway replenishment winches, as well as extensive modifications to living spaces. The contract performance period will be 270 days. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 33 proposals solicited and four offers received. The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N62387-95-C-3032).

AIR FORCE

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Washington, is being awarded a $29,912,000 face value increase to a fixed-price-incentive-firm contract for update of the electronic support measures on nine E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed October 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity (F19628-87-C-0030, P00111).

McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis, Missouri, is being awarded a $239,000,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract for extension of long lead funding for the components, parts and materials to support production of 72 F-15S aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed April 1995. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-90-C-2254, P00048).

On January 30, 1995 Alliant Techsystems, Incorporated, Hopkins, Minnesota, was awarded a $20,840,651 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. This contract provides for development of eight Wind Corrected Munitions Dispenser Kits. These kits will correct the effects of wind on dispenser type munitions. Contract is expected to be September 1996. Contract funds will not

expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Forty bids were solicited and eight proposals were received. The solicitation was issued October 1994 and negotiations were completed January 1995. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, is the contracting activity (F08626-95-C-0001).

On January 30, 1995, Martin Marietta Technologies, Incorporated, Orlando, Florida, was awarded a $9,482,929 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.
