ARMY

TRW, Incorporated, Systems Engineering and Development Division, Carson, California, is being awarded a $282,800,000 cost plus incentive fee, firm fixed price, time and materials contract. This contract is for the development test of a set of applique hardware and integration of government-furnished software for use in the Army Experimental Force (EXFOR) digitization experiments. The applique is a set of digitization equipment which can be installed on various military platforms. This equipment will be used to provide situational awareness and operational control of these combat and combat support platforms using application software. The work will be performed in Dominguez Hills, California and Ocean, New Jersey, and is expected to be completed by May 1, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was an open solicitation through the Commerce Business Daily on August 19, 1994, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey (DAAB07-95-D-E604).

Northport Handling, Incorporated, Cape Canaveral, Florida, has been awarded a $3,450,923 increment as part of a cumulative total $5,944,286 firm fixed price, indefinite quantity contract. This contract is for stevedoring and related terminal services, specifically defined as the loading and unloading of maritime pre-positioning ships, for a two-year period, with two additional one-year options. The work will be performed at the Military Traffic Management Command Blount Island Terminal, Jacksonville, Florida, and is expected to be completed by February 28, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 28 bids solicited on September 28, 1993, and four bids received. The contracting activity is the Military Traffic Management Command, Falls Church, Virginia (DAHC24-95-D-0002).

AIR FORCE

AIL Systems Incorporated, Deer Park, New York, is being awarded a $5,272,056 (Estimated) face value increase to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for reassembly, testing and repair of line replaceable units in support of the avionics integrated support facility at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, for the AN/ALQ-161A electronic countermeasures system in the B-1B aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed March 1996. Contract funds of $5,272,056 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is the contracting activity (09603-98-C-1020, P00014).

Kaman Sciences Corporation, Colorado Springs, Colorado, is being awarded a $9,643,507 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the High-Altitude Balloon Experiment program which facilitates the testing of systems and components in a high-altitude environment. The technology being tested in this program is keyed to space-based laser weapons systems concepts being developed by the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization. The work will be performed at Colorado Springs, Colorado (10%) and Albuquerque, New Mexico (90%). Contract is expected to be completed October 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Twenty-four bids were solicited and three proposals were received. The solicitation was issued October 1994. The Phillips Laboratory, Contracting Division, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, is the contracting activity (F29601-95-C-0044).

NAVY

Beneco Enterprises, Inc., Sandy, Utah, is being awarded a $5,000,000 fixed unit price indefinite job order contract with a not-to-exceed value of $175,000,000 for the repair of various government facilities located at naval activities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Work is expected to be completed by January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 27 proposals solicited and seven offers received. The Engineering Field Activity Chesapeake, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N62477-94-D-0071).

Ingalls Shipbuilding, Inc., Pascagoula, Mississippi, is being awarded a $738,773,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-94-C-2800 for construction of two FY 95 DDG 51 Class Aegis Destroyers. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Bath Iron Works Corporation, Bath, Maine, is being awarded a $367,647,705 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-94-C-2808 for construction of one FY 95 DDG 51 Class Aegis Destroyer. Work will be performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to be completed by October 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Alliant Techsystems, Inc., Hopkins, Minnesota, is being awarded a $59,145,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 186 MK 46 Mod 5 torpedo main assemblies and 88 MK 46 Mod 5 kits for the governments of Taiwan, Egypt, and additional Foreign Military Sales (FMS) country. Work will be performed in Hopkins, Minnesota (10%), Mukilteo, Washington (45%), and New Brighton, Minnesota (45%), and is expected to be completed by January 1997. McDonnell Douglas Corporation, McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis, Missouri, is being awarded a $171,792,733 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for F/A-18 weapon systems support services. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to be completed by December 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
