Subject: Guidance for Planning and Performing Official Travel During
Periods of Conflict
The purpose of this Financial Administration Memorandum (FAM) is to transmit
Assistant Secretary – Policy, Management and Budget memorandum, dated March 12,
2003, which provides guidance and procedures to Departmental personnel traveling
or planning to travel during periods of conflict.
This guidance should be passed to all employees that are expected to perform
overseas travel and to all personnel who arrange overseas travel for other
employees.
