NAVY

Rolls-Royce Corp., Indianapolis is being awarded a $42,460,000 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-95-C-0209) to exercise an option for the procurement of 22 install engines for the MV-22 aircraft. In addition, this modification provides additional funding for price adjustments for the fiscal 2001 engines due to realigned delivery schedules. Work will be performed in Indianapolis and is to be completed in March 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Ignazio Messina & Co. S.P.A., Genoa, Italy, is being awarded a $6,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for reimbursables for the 90-day time charter of a roll-on/roll-off ship to carry military cargo. The foreign-flagged ship will operate in strategic locations worldwide during the contract period. Work is to be completed by July 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 18 offers received. The Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00033-03-C-5552).

L-3 Communications Satellite Networks, Hauppauge, N.Y., is being awarded a $5,467,977 commercial-item, firm-fixed-price contract to provide quad-band dual hub terminals (QDHT) and spares for the Special Operations Command. The QDHT is a quad-band SATCOM terminal used to provide communications for unified commands. QDHT is a pallet assembly terminal with an integral pop-up quad-band antenna. This contract includes an award contract line item number (CLIN) and option quantity CLINs, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the contract to $30,957,390. Work will be performed in Hauppauge and is to be completed by March 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. This contract was a sole-source procurement negotiated under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1). The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston, S.C. is the contracting activity (N65236-03-C-3104).

Nile Dutch Africa Line BV, Rotterdam, Netherlands, is being awarded a $5,260,000 firm-fixed-price contract with reimbursables for the 90-day time charter of a roll-on and roll-off ship to carry military cargo. The foreign-flagged ship will operate in strategic locations worldwide during the contract period. Work is to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 18 offers received.
