Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Rolling Meadows, Ill., is being awarded a $14,684,744 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for F-15E AN/ALQ-135 Band 1.5 internal countermeasures. Cubic Defense Systems Corp., San Diego is being awarded a $5,084,633 contract modification to provide for the Saudi Arabian Kadena interim training system contract to purchase additional quantities of items to satisfy a foreign military sales agreement with Saudi Arabia. Specific equipment to be purchased includes 10 rangeless air combat maneuvering instrumentation pods, two remote display and debriefing subsystems, two live monitor display and debriefing stations, two communication instrumentation subsystems, associated spares and support equipment and 23 months of contractor logistics support. At this time $4,368,005 of the funds have been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. Negotiations were completed March 2003. ARMY

General Dynamics Land Systems, Warren, Mich., was awarded on March 12, 2003, a delivery order amount of $38,512,695 as part of an $184,098,794 firm-fixed-price contract for 115 M1A1 Vehicle Material Sets. Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio (77%); Scranton, Pa. (20%); and Muskegon, Mich. (3%), and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 3, 2002. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-G-N001).

Strand Hunt Construction Inc., Kirkland, Wash., was awarded on March 11, 2003, a $13,924,706 firm-fixed-price contract for CLR016 central heat and power plant upgrades and baghouse. Work will be performed in Clear, Alaska, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 137 bids solicited on Oct. 1, 2002, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska, is the contracting activity (DACA85-03-C-0004).

C. F. Jordon L.P., Dallas was awarded on March 12, 2003, a $12,543,002 firm-fixed-price contract for a student dormitory at Lackland Air Force Base. Work will be performed in San Antonio, Texas, and is expected to be completed by June 5, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 47 bids solicited on Dec. 11, 2002, and 12 bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACA63-03-C-0003).

NAVY

Cubic Defense Systems Inc. San Diego is being awarded a $31,818,433 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee for the Communication Datalink (CDL) Systems Block 1. The CDL System Block 1 is a wideband data link for the transmission of signal and imagery intelligence data between national/tactical reconnaissance aircraft sensors and their associated surface processing systems. The CDL System provides identical user interface subsystems to a minimum of two different user spaces within the ship. These interfaces include both a CDL egress panel and a network interface to which intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance exploitation equipment may interconnect. The contractor will be responsible for development, enhancement, maintenance and system test and evaluation for CDL systems. This contract contains four one-year options which, if exercised, would bring the total estimated cumulative value of this contract to $92,776,348 based on the government's estimated quantities of six systems for FY03, eight systems for FY04, four systems for FY05, four systems for FY06 and four systems for FY07. However, these quantities are not certain, and the total cumulative value will increase or decrease based on the government's purchased quantities. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the SPAWAR Business Opportunity Page/Federal Business Opportunities website, with three proposals solicited and two offers received. George G. Sharp Inc., Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded a $29,110,455 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for engineering technical and logistics services, staging facility and support services. The contractor will perform alterations to shipboard systems and equipment including, but not limited to, Title "D" and "K" ship alterations, type commander initiated, machinery and ordnance alterations; and planning yard work instructions, engineering change proposals and field changes. Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. (LMSS), Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $10,000,000 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00030-02-C-0100) to exercise an option under the FY03 TRIDENT II (D5) production and deployed systems support contract for the procurement of additional hardware and/or memorandum of requalification agreement (MORA) effort based on the negotiated values for the hardware and MORA effort under the missile production item 0001. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Federated Wholesale Inc.*, Atlanta is being awarded a $13,208,634 firm-fixed-price with indefinite-delivery type of contract for personal care items assembled into three different kits consisting of general issue items, feminine hygiene items and personal hygiene body wipes for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. Performance completion date is expected to be Oct. 14, 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were four solicitations and four responded.
