NAVY

            BAE Systems Applied Technologies, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $7,801,578 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00421-03-C-0016) to exercise an option for technical and engineering services to support the Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division’s Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems.  The estimated level of effort for this option is 128,640 man-hours.  Work will be performed in St. Inigoes, Md. (80%), and in Rockville, Md. (20%), and is expected to be completed by October 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.

 

            Raytheon Company, Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $6,380,290 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-99-C-5473) to exercise an option to fund FY04 production support for the Evolved SEASPARROW Missile (ESSM).  Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. (35.7%); Andover, Mass. (8.9%); Camden, Ark. (2.9%); Minneapolis, Minn. (1.5%); Australia (12%); Germany (10%); The Netherlands (9%); Toronto, Canada (7%); Norway (4%); Spain (3%); Denmark (2%); Greece (2%) and Turkey (2%), and is expected to be completed by January 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

            Raytheon Company, Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $5,378,684 firm-fixed-price modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-02-C-5312) for engineering and test equipment modifications necessary to perform the non-recurring efforts for the Taiwan portion of Standard Missile (SM-2) BLOCK IIIB Fiscal Year 2004 production.  The modification to the existing contract is a Foreign Military Sales procurement and the efforts will verify current design operability within the SM-2 BLOCK IIIB, Tartar environment.  Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by March 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

ARMY

 

            ATK/Thiokol Propulsion, Brigham City, Utah, was awarded on Oct. 24, 2003, a $9,552,591 firm-fixed-price contract for 13,323 LUU2C/B Illumination Flares.  Work will be performed in Brigham City, Utah, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Aug. 22, 2003, and one bid was received.  The U.S. Army Field Support Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W52P1J-04-C-0002).

 

            Raytheon Co., Baltimore, Md., was awarded on Oct. 23, 2003, a $5,700,000 increment as part of a $25,938,636 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price, and time and materials contract for design, development, test and integration of a new Air Defense Identification Friend or Foe Interrogator Set.  Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md. (62%), Largo, Fla. (34%), and Fort Wayne, Ind. (4%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2010.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on May 14, 2003, and three bids were received.  The U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15P7T-04-C-K402).

 

            General Dynamics Land Systems, Muskegon, Mich., was awarded on Oct. 24, 2003, a $5,230,184 firm-fixed-price contract for 336 hydraulic cylinders.  Work will be performed in Muskegon, Mich., and is expected to be completed by July 30, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Nov. 14, 2002, and three bids were received.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-G-M001).

 

            Circle Inc., Belle Chasse, La., was awarded on Oct. 22, 2003, a $10,000 increment as part of a $12,075,806 firm-fixed-price contract for the Southwest Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project.  Work will be performed in New Orleans, La., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 22, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 130 bids solicited on Jan. 15, 2003, and 11 bids were received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans, La., is the contracting activity (W912P8-04-C-0004).
