NAVY

James N. Gray Company, Lexington, Ky., is being awarded $31,406,000 for firm-fixed-price Task Order 0001 under an indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity, multiple award construction contract for design and construction of an aircraft maintenance hangar at the Naval Air Station, Brunswick. The work to be performed includes all work necessary for the design and construction of six bay type II aircraft maintenance hangar with addition one-half space for the Organization Management Department (OMD), transient line, station helicopters and an airfield support building to house the airfield's snowplows and demolition of the existing aircraft maintenance hangars one and three. Work will be performed in Brunswick, Maine, and is to be completed by August 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured via the Naval Facilities e-solicitation Web site, with 17 proposals received and award made on June 21, 2002. The total contract amount is not to exceed $700,000,000, which includes the base period and four option years. The multiple contractors (five in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Five proposals were received for this task order. The Engineering Field Activity Northeast, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Lester, Pa., is the contracting activity (N62472-01-D-0073).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Petroleum Traders Corporation*, Fort Wayne, Ind., is being awarded a $9,088,515 fixed-price with economic price adjustment type contract for an estimated 37,725,603 gallons of gasoline, fuel oil and diesel fuel for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies. Work will also be performed in various DoD and federal civilian agencies in the States of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. The performance completion date is scheduled for July 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. There were 500 proposals solicited and 53 responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va. (SP0600-02-D-4592).

Usibelli Coal Mine, Inc.*, Healy , Alaska, is being awarded a $108,000,613 firm-fixed price type contract for 2,169,850 tons of sub-bituminous coal for the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force in Alaska. Performance completion date is expected to be May 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. There were 62 proposals solicited and only one responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., (SP0600-02-D-0657).

AIR FORCE

BAE Systems, Santa Monica, Calif., is being awarded an $8,007,870 firm-fixed price contract to provide for 69 fuel management advisory computers and 58 integrated fuel management panels. This effort supports KC-135 aircraft. The locations of performance are BAE Systems, Santa Monica, Calif. (50 percent) and BAE Systems Avionics Limited, Avionic Systems Flight and Data Systems Group, Rochester, Kent, UK (49.5 percent). Total funds have been obligated. This work will be completed by April 2004. Solicitation began September 2001 and negotiations were completed in June 2002. The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base is the contracting activity (F34601-02-C-0314).
