AIR FORCE

On January 9, 1996, the Air Force awarded Optelecom, Incorporated, Gaithersburg, Maryland, a $6,462,891 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for repair and upgrade of components of the AN/AAQ-7 Laser Illuminator System applicable to the AC-130A and H aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed January 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began September 1995; negotiations were complete December 1995. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Georgia is the contracting activity (F09603-96/D-0097).

Science Applications International Corporation, San Diego, California, is being awarded a $5,025,138 face value increase to a cost plus award fee contract for technical and scientific efforts, with associated planning management and reporting in support of the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. The work will be performed at Phillips Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. Contract is expected to be completed March 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Phillips Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico is the contracting activity (F29601-95/C-0051, P00067).

ManTech Geo-Centers Joint Venture, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, is being awarded a $31,314,245 cost plus fixed fee contract for toxicology research and technical research support for the Tri-Service Toxicology Research Program. The work will be performed at the Armstrong Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Contract is expected to be completed January 2015. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 58 firms solicited and 3 proposals received. Solicitation began August 1995 and negotiations were complete January 1996. Human Systems Center, Brooks Air Force Base, Texas is the contracting activity (F41624-96/C-9010).

Sverdrup Technology, Incorporated, Tullahoma, Tennessee, is being awarded a $7,609,080 face value increase to a cost plus award fee contract for additional test support for the Propulsion and Aerospace Flight Dynamics Test facilities at the Arnold Engineering Development center, Arnold AFB, Tennessee. Contract is expected to be completed October 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Arnold Engineering Development Center, Arnold AFB, Tennessee is the contracting activity (F40600-95/C-0017, P00005).

ARMY

ONAN Corporation, Minneapolis, Minnesota, was awarded on January 9, 1996, an $8,010,234 firm fixed price contract for 1,175 diesel engines to be used on generators. Work will be performed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 17, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis, Missouri (DAAK01-96-C-0017).

Beretta U.S.A. Corporation, Accokeek, Maryland, is being awarded a $6,500,670 modification to a firm fixed price contract for 16,500 M9 9MM pistols. Work will be performed in Accokeek, Maryland, and is expected to be completed by July 27, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 2, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Rock Island, Illinois (DAAE20-95-C-0390).
