DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

AOS, Incorporated*, Dallas, Texas, ADC International*, Arlington, VA, Arrowhead Space and Telecommunications*, McLean, VA, Global Communications Solutions, Incorporated*, Victor, N.Y., and O'Gara Satellite Systems, Incorporated*, Deer Park, N.Y., are being awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the Defense Information Systems Agency's International Maritime Satellite Network (INMARSAT). The minimum value of orders on each of the contracts will be $10,000.00. The maximum value of the three-year based period and the seven one-year options for all five contracts are $1,000,000,000. Work performed under these contracts will provide equipment, airtime service, and maintenance for the Department of Defense and other government agencies. This procurement was competitively solicited as a 100% small business set-aside. Ten proposals were received. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, (DITCO), Scott, AFB, Ill. is the contracting activity (DCA200-02-D-5024, DCA200-02-D-5025, DCA200-02-D-5026, DCA200-02-D-5027, and DCA200-02-D-5028.

ARMY

Technical and Management Services Corporation, Beltsville, Md. was awarded on May 30, 2002, a $17,445,523 increment as part of a $17,445,523 firm-fixed-price time and materials and cost contract for parts and maintenance of the F-15 aircraft. Work will be performed in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on May 30, 2002. The U. S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala. is the contracting activity (DASG60-02-F-0049).

NAVY

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., ES Power/Control Systems, Sykesville, Md., is being awarded a $7,892,061 cost-plus-award-fee, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for the design, development, fabrication, test, delivery and support of two prototype valve actuation and control (VAC) systems for the Mark 7 arresting gear. These new VAC systems will replace the existing 1950s actuation and control systems currently used onboard U.S. Navy carriers. Work will be performed in Sykesville, Md. (80 percent) and Thorofare, N.J. (20 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $1,800,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured electronically, with 19 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-02-D-0023).

Metric Systems Corporation, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $7,873,209 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity time and materials contract (N68936-98-D-0140) for the diagnosis, repair, and engineering support of Global Positioning System (GPS) Based Range Instrumentation Equipment located at several test and evaluation (T&E) and training ranges. Work will be performed in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. (65 percent); Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. (20 percent); White Sands Missile Range, N.M. (eight percent); and China Lake, Calif. (seven percent), and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Welin Lambie Limited, Britannia House, Brierley Hill, West Midlands, United Kingdom, is being awarded a $6,690,738 fixed-price, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for FFG 7 Class Ship Boat Davit Systems, testing support, training, spare parts and related technical and logistics data. The FFG 7 Class Ship Boat Davit Systems will replace existing boat davit systems on FFG 7 class ships and will provide increased reliability and performance over existing boat davit systems. Work will be performed in West Midlands, United Kingdom (98 percent); Mayport, Fla. (one percent); and Norfolk, Va. (one percent), and is expected to be completed by June 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured and advertised via the Navy electronic commerce online website, with five offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N65540-02-D-0047).
