AIR FORCE
Teradyne Incorporated, North Reading, Mass., is being awarded a $67,000,000 firm fixed price contract to provide for Advanced Digital Test Station, Automatic Test Equipment for the B-1B Aircraft. No funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by June 2009. Solicitation began June 2003 and Negotiations were completed October 2003. The Headquarters Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (FA8102-04-D-0001).
System Research and Applications Corp., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $44,700,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for exploratory and advanced developments to enhance the capabilities of operators and decision makers engaged in Information Warfare. The Air Force can issues delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount above. The location of performance is System Research and Applications Corp., 5100 Springfield Pike, Suite 210, Dayton, Ohio 45431. At this time, $3,676,280 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete by May 2010. Solicitation began August 2003 and Negotiations were completed November 2003. Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, Toledo, Ohio, is being awarded a $10,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. The versatile affordable advanced turbine engines Program is a Joint DOD/NASA/DOE/Industry effort to develop revolutionary and innovative technologies by the 2017 timeframe that will permit an order of magnitude increase in turbo-propulsion affordability over the year 2000 state-of-the-art technology. Teledyne Technologies will perform this effort in Toledo, Ohio. The Air Force can issues delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount above. At this time, $53,695 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete by November 2011. Solicitation began November 2002 and Negotiations were completed November 2003. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8650-04-D-2400).
NAVY
Raytheon Systems, d/b/a Raytheon Systems Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $54,709,224 ceiling amount modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed price contract (N00019-03-C-0003) to exercise an option for the procurement of approximately 596 AIM-9M-2 missiles for the Governments of Taiwan (182) and Egypt (414). Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. (84%), Rocket Center, W.Va. (13%), and Andover, Mass. (3%), and is expected to be completed in June 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This modification combines purchases for Egypt ($38,002,716; 69.5%) and Taiwan ($16,706,508; 30.5%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
Digital System Resources, Inc., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $34,679,990 cost-plus incentive-fee/cost-plus-award-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-03-C-6206) to exercise an option for level-of-effort engineering and technical services in support of the Tactical Control System (TCS) under the CCS MK2 Combat Control program. This contract covers all known future U.S. Navy submarine requirements for the next generation of CCS MK2 Combat Control, Tactical Control Subsystem development and production, including improvements, upgrades, technology refreshment, and the integration of Advanced Processing Builds. The CCS MK2 provides contact management tools and tactical control functions for submarine platforms. Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va., and is expected to be completed by December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
Lambda Research, Inc.*, Cincinnati, Ohio, is being awarded a $25,000,000 not-to-exceed indefinite/delivery, indefinite/quantity contract for a Phase III Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) effort under Topic N01-024 entitled “Innovative Gas Turbine Engine Propulsion.” The object of this effort is to provide the tools necessary for the continued success of low plasticity burnishing technology and the eventual use of the process by original equipment manufacturers and at the depots to extend the useful life of both new and aging U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force aircraft and other military systems. Work will be performed in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is expected to be completed in November 2008. Contract funds in the amount of $25,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using SBIR program solicitation under Topic N01-024 and 27 proposals were received. Raytheon Company, Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $8,942,182 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00024-02-C-5409) for production of eight (8) MK 49 Mod 0 to Mod 3 Guided Missile Launching System (GMLS) ORDALT kits, two (2) MK 49 Mod 1 to Mod 3 GMLS ORDALT kits, and associated ordnance alteration kit hardware/spares in support of the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) Program. Work will be performed in Louisville, Ky. (50%) and Ottobrunn, Germany (50%), and is expected to be completed by October 2005. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.
Engineering Design Group, Inc., Tulsa, Okla., is being awarded a $8,470,177 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee multiple award type contract to provide maintenance and technical services for Automated Tank Gauging, Automated Fuel Handling Equipment and associated systems. This contract involves upgrades of automation components and systems at DoD fuel storage and distribution activities. This contract contains one base year and four one-year options, which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $47,427,803. Work will be performed in over 600 worldwide sites in various locations which include CONUS (50%)1; and OCONUS1 areas: Pacific (25%), Europe (25%) and is expected to be completed by November 2004. If all options are exercised, work will continue through November 2008. Contract funds in the amount of $16,666 will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Douglas E. Barnhart, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded Task Order 0002 at $8,336,600 under a firm-fixed-price, indefinite/delivery, indefinite/quantity, multiple-award construction contract for renovation to Bachelor Enlisted Quarters Buildings PH1181, PH1182, and PM211 at Naval Base Ventura County. Work will be performed in Ventura County, Calif., and is expected to be completed by January 2005. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with eleven proposals received and award made on 29 March 2002. The total contract amount for each contractor is not to exceed $150,000,000 (base period and four option years) bringing the cumulative total for all four contracts to $600,000,000. The multiple contractors (four in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. One proposal was received for this task order.
