AM General Corp., South Bend, Ind., was awarded on Nov. 4, 2003, a $39,571,065 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 500 M1114 up-armored High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle expanded capacity vehicle chassis. Work will be performed in South Bend, Ind., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on July 17, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-S001).
O’Gara-Hess & Eisenhardt Armoring Co., Fairfield, Ohio, was awarded on Nov. 4, 2003, a $35,675,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 500 M1114 up-armored High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles with gun shields. Work will be performed in Fairfield, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on April 10, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-00-C-S019).
Lear Siegler Services Inc., Gaithersburg, Md., was awarded on Nov. 4, 2003, a delivery order amount of $7,482,193 as part of a $7,482,193 time and materials contract for equipment inspection, maintenance, upgrade of tactical and power generation equipment, medical assets and related soldier support equipment. Work will be performed in Herlong, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. BAE Systems, Nashua, N.H., was awarded on Nov. 4, 2003, a $6,904,200 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for five common missile warning systems and mission spares. Work will be performed in Nashua, N.H., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Oct. 15, 2003. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-02-C-B213).
AIR FORCE
ALPHATECH Inc., Burlington, Mass., is being awarded a $12,986,797 cost-plus fixed-fee contract. The purpose of this acquisition is to develop dynamic quarantine defense for U.S. military networks against large-scale malicious code attacks such as computer-based worms. The end item to be delivered is computer software. ALPHATECH Inc. will perform this effort in Arlington, Va. At this time, $523,073 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete by November 2006. Solicitation began March 2003. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, N.Y., is the contracting activity (FA8750-04-C-0012).
NAVY
General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, Pittsfield, Mass., is being awarded a $6,907,450 cost-incentive-fee contract to provide attack weapons control system trainers in fiscal year 2004. The contract was not competitively procured. Work will be performed in Pittsfield, Mass., and is expected to be completed by May 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00030-04-C-0009).
Roy Anderson Corp., Gulfport, Miss., is being awarded $5,899,000 for firm-fixed-price Task Order 0001 under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award construction contract (N62467-03-D-0191) for repairs to Building 633, Naval Air Station Pensacola. The work to be performed includes repairs to the electrical and mechanical systems, major roof repairs, upgraded fire protection systems and construction of a concrete ramp for handicapped access. Work will be performed in Pensacola, Fla., and is expected to be completed by April 2006. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured as a 2-phase design/build with 34 contractors responding to phase I, six proposers taken to phase II with all submitting proposals and award made to multiple contractors on Sept. 30, 2003. The total contract amount is not to exceed $200,000,000 (base period and four option years). The multiple contractors (four in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Four proposals were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.
