CONTRACTS

ARMY

Alliant Lake City Small Caliber Ammunition Co. LLC, Independence, Mo., was awarded on Nov. 3, 2003, a delivery order amount of $24,969,828 as part of a $288,938,224 firm-fixed-price contract for 5.56mm and 7.62mm small caliber ammunition. Work will be performed in Independence, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on July 30, 1999, and two bids were received. The Joint Munitions Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-99-D-0016).

Fiore Industries Inc., Albuquerque, N.M., was awarded on Nov. 3, 2003, a $1,653,367 increment as part of a $33,673,378 firm-fixed-price, award-fee-award-term contract for research, engineering and analysis support to perform countermeasures/counter-countermeasures test and analysis activities on all precision-guided weapon systems, subsystems and related components. Work will be performed at White Sands Missile Range, N.M., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 20, 2018. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Aug. 5, 2003, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, White Sands Missile Range, N.M., is the contracting activity (W9124Q-04-C-0104).

DRS Technologies, Palm Bay, Fla., was awarded on Nov. 3, 2003, a $20,344,600 firm-fixed-price contract for 1,695 V4 Applique Computer Systems. Work will be performed in Palm Bay, Fla., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Oct. 24, 2003. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15P7T-04-C-G201).

NAVY

BAE Systems Applied Technologies Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $21,470,781 modification under a previously awarded contract (N00024-00-C-5395) to exercise an option to provide Standard Missile Program system integration agent engineering for in-service weapon systems and deliver MK 14 weapons direction system upgrades for the Republic of Korea Navy. This modification combines support of the U.S. Navy (79 percent) and the Republic of Korea (21 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Silver Spring, Md., and is expected to be completed by December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is being award a $14,356,126 priced order under the existing basic ordering agreement contract (N00383-00-G-0001) for procurement of low pressure turbine (LPT) nozzle segments used on the F-404-400 engine on the F/A-18 aircraft. Work will be performed at Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by January 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the contract ordering period. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point is the contracting activity (Order 0836).
