Louisiana was granted state program approval (SPA) in 1992. All 5 states in Region 6 have approved programs. Region 6 was the first to have all of its states achieve SPA.

Number of cleanups completed	2,361 (national total: 377,019)
Number of cleanups in backlog to be completed	1,246 (national total: 102,798)

Percent of facilities in significant operational compliance with:

	Release prevention requirements	85%
	Release detection requirements	78%
	Both prevention and release detection requirements	63%
