CONTRACTS

ARMY

McMaster Construction Inc.*, Oklahoma City, Okla., is being awarded a $5,607,394 firm fixed price contract to add/alter a fuel maintenance hangar for conversion. The project consists of construction of a 24,220 sq. foot reinforced concrete and metal fuel maintenance and aircraft wash hangar with motorized doors; with administration, training, tool and equipment areas; an aqueous film forming foam system for fire protection, and necessary utility support. Work will be performed at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., and is expected to be completed by May 20, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 43 bids solicited on Jan. 22, 1997, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa, Okla. (DACA56-97-C-0025).

MRJ Inc.*, Fairfax, Va., is being awarded $995,000 of a $9,134,470 increment, as part of a $43,350,351 cost plus award fee contract for the U.S. Army Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation Command's Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) Intelligence Module (WIM) Program. WIM development consists of intelligence software prototyping, modeling, design engineering, software analysis, development, training and exercise field support, maintenance, and program management. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 48 bids solicited on Dec. 18, 1996, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-97- C-A012).

NAVY

The Entwistle Company, Hudson, Mass., is being awarded a $8,919,314 modification to previously awarded contract N68335-93- C-0183 for the procurement of 50 A/S32-P25 Fire Fighting Vehicles, eight quick engine change assemblies, and one lot of associated technical data. The A/S32-P25 Fire Fighting Vehicle is a self-propelled fire fighting vehicle used on flight decks of aircraft carriers and amphibious ships. Work will be performed in Hudson, Mass., and is expected to be completed by April 1999. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Electronic Systems, Sudbury, Mass., is being awarded a $14,100,000 firm-fixed-price letter contract for 12 AN/SPS-49A(V)1 Modification Kits with integration, logistic and field engineering service support. Work will be performed in Waltham, Mass., and is expected to be completed by January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-97-C-5200).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Co., King of Prussia, Penn., is being awarded an $8,326,311 face value increase to a cost plus award fee contract to provide for On-Orbit Operational Support through December 1997 for the Global Positioning System Block IIR satellite program. Contract is expected to be completed December 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701- 89/C-0073, P00131).

Today the Air Force is modifying a $63,149,578 contract with Raytheon Aircraft Co., Wichita, Kan., fixed price incentive contract this action exercises Fiscal Year 97 lot IV, for 15 production aircraft of the Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS). This system's primary mission is to train enty-level Air Force and Navy student pilots in primary flying. Secondarily, the systems will be used to privide entry-level training to Air Force Student Navigators and Navy Student Naval Flight Officers. Contract is expected to be completed September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-94/C-0006, P00024).
