CONTRACTS
ARMY
Intersteel Inc.*, Louisville, Ky., was awarded on April 16,
1997, a $250,000 increment as part of a $12,000,000 firm fixed
price contract for open-ended type of construction and repair for
work on post which will be requested and performed as required
during the during the 540 days of the basic contract.
Work will
be performed at Lexington Blue Grass Army Depot, Avon Facility
and Richmond Facility, Ky., and is expected to be completed by
June 30, 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year.
There were 160 bids solicited on Dec. 6,
1996, and eleven bids were received.
The contracting activity is
the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky. (DACA27-97-D-
0014).
Raytheon Co., Raytheon Electronics Systems, Marlborough,
Mass., is being awarded a $6,090,000 increment of a $24,882,755
modification to an $83,099,848 cost plus award fee contract to
develop, fabricate, integrate and test the Demand Assigned
Multiple Access (DAMA) for integration into the Secure, Mobile,
Anti-jam, Reliable, Tactical Terminal (SMART-T).
Work will be
performed in Marlborough, Mass., and is expected to be completed
by Sept. 30, 1999.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of
the current fiscal year.
This is a sole source contract
initiated on Dec. 23, 1996.
The contracting activity is the U.S.
Army Communications and Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J.
(DAAB07-96-C-A757).
ITT Corp., Avionics Division, Clifton, N.J., is being
awarded a $3,215,000 increment of a $9,124,527 modification to a
$67,706,322 cost plus award fee/cost share contract for
Engineering and Manufacturing Development (E&MD) of the Advanced
Threat Radar Jammer (ATRJ).
The ATRJ is a fully integrated radio
frequency electronic countermeasures system for electronic
protection against current and future radar directed weapon
systems.
Work will be performed in Clifton, N.J., and is
expected to be completed by July 31, 1998.
Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
There were 21
bids solicited on Feb. 14, 1994, and one bid was received.
The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and
Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-94-C-M504).
CAS Inc., Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a $2,888,000
increment (delivery order amount) of a cost plus fixed fee and
time and materials contract for services for the Common Missile
Warning System (CMWS) for the Air Force.
Work will be performed
in Huntsville, Ala. (50%); and St. Louis, Mo. (50%), and is
expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1998.
Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
This is a sole
source contract initiated on Jan. 9, 1997.
The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Troop and Aviation Command, St. Louis,
Mo. (DAAJ09-96-D-0012).
AIR FORCE
Horizons Technology, Inc., Billerica, Mass., is being
awarded a $49,200,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity
contract to provide for research and development of technical
services in support of the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar
System (JSTARS) Joint Test Force.
The work will be performed at
Horizons Technology, Melbourne, Fla. (71%) as well as their
facility in Billerica, Mass. (29%).
Contract is expected to be
completed April 2002.
Contract funds will not expire at the end
of the current fiscal year.
There was one firm solicited and one
proposal received.
Solicitation began March 1997; negotiations
were completed April 1997.
Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom
AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97/D-0023).
NAVY
Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a
$16,484,208 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-95-
C-2101 to exercise options for OMNIBUS Engineering and Technical
Services for OHIO Class Submarines.
Work will be performed in
Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by September 1997.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year.
The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the
contracting activity.
International Technology Corp., Martinez, Calif., is being
awarded a $1,095,518 modification to previously awarded contract
N62474-93-D-2151 for environmental remedial action which includes
cleaning the culverts in Dry Dock 4 at the Hunters Point Naval
Shipyard, San Francisco, Calif.
The basic contract amount is not-
to-exceed $200,000,000.
Work will be performed in San Francisco,
Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 1997.

funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering
Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity.
Piasecki Aircraft Corp., Essington, Penn., is being awarded
a $5,372,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-
95-C-0254 for the preliminary design, analysis, and simulation of
the 4 bladed AH-1W Vectored Thrust Ducted Propeller (VTDP) and to
design,fabricate and test the VTDP.
Work will be performed in
Essington, Penn., and is expected to be completed by December
1999.
Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the
current fiscal year.

Va., is the contracting activity.
Simula Government Products, Phoenix, Ariz., is being awarded
a $5,768,700 firm-fixed-price contract to fabricate, test and
deliver Inflatable Body and Head Restrain Systems for
installation into in-service AH-1W Cobra helicopters.
Work will
be performed in Tempe, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by
June 1999.
Contract funds in the amount of $3,581,000 would have
expired at the end of the current fiscal year.
