ARMY

CONTRACTS


CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Pier 400 Contractors, a joint venture, (Great Lakes Dredge and Rock, Oak Brook Illinois and Connolly Pacific, Long Beach, Calif.), Oak Brook, Ill., is being awarded a $147,685,450 firm fixed price contract for navigation improvements to Pier 400, Port of Los Angeles. The project will include dredging of approximately 19 million (plus 1.5M option) cubic meters to clear the harbor and place approximately 3.1 million metric tons of quarry run (rock) for dike revetment in Los Angeles, Long Beach Harbor, San Pedro Bay, Calif. Work will be performed in Long Beach, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 12, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 41 bids solicited on March 26, 1997, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles, Calif. (DACW09-97-C-0035).

NAVY

Pioneer UAV Inc., Hunt Valley, Md., is being awarded a $5,041,903 firm-fixed-price contract for 20 payloads and modification kits in support of unmanned aerial vehicles. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $11,158,973. Work will be performed in Hunt Valley, Md. (15%), and Healdsburg, Calif. (85%), and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00019-95-G-0203).

ARINC, Annapolis, Md., is being awarded a $16,681,732 cost- plus-fixed-fee contract for Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Engineering Support services. Work will be performed in Panama City Beach, Fla. (92%), and Annapolis, Md. (8%), and is expected to be completed by May 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 101 proposals solicited and four offers received. The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61331-97-D-0031).
