McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $239,441,583 modification to convert the previously awarded advance acquisition contract for the FY 2000 production year procurement of 15 T-45C aircraft to a firm-fixed-price contract and for sustaining engineering support, reliability and maintainability program, quality assurance program, aircraft test requirements, structural fatigue life tracking and engine monitoring, aircraft ancillary equipment, an operation flight trainer, an instrument flight trainer, ground training system planning, integration and related analysis, integrated logistics support and logistics support analysis, and technical manuals. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Rolls Royce Allison Engine Company, Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded an estimated $113,400,000 modification to convert the previously awarded annual advance acquisition contract (N00019-98-C-0122) to a multi-year advanced acquisition contract for 54 T56-A-427 engines for the E-2C aircraft (44 U.S. Navy; 10 Foreign Military Sales). Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Ind., and is expected to be completed by October 2006. This procurement combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (83%) and the governments of Taiwan (13%) and France (4%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Lockheed Corp., Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems, St. Paul, Minn., is being awarded a $45,528,289 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-98-C-0013 to

exercise an option to procure 17 P-3C block modification upgrade B-kits, which will modernize P-3C update II and II.5 aircraft to the P-3C update III common configuration, and to exercise an option for the first trial kit installation. Work will be performed in Eagan, Minn. (45%); Manassas, Va. (44%); and Greenville, S.C. (11%), and is expected to be completed by April 2003. Raytheon Systems Company, Naval and Maritime Systems, Mukilteo, Wash., is being awarded a $16,603,920 firm-fixed price contract for the MK54 Torpedo Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) program. The work will be performed in Keyport, Wash., and is expected to be completed by May 2002. Funding obligated at contract award will be $15,058,870. Soltek Pacific, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $14,629,339 base proposal item 0001 of task order 10 under a multiple awardee design/build multiple award concept contract to provide for site preparation and new construction of a bachelor enlisted quarters building at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms. The basic contract amount is not-to-exceed $90,000,000, which includes the base period and two option years. Work will be performed in Twentynine Palms, Calif., and is expected to be completed by January 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured, with 18 offers received, and award made to multiple contractors on 30 September 1998. Raytheon Company, Equipment, Division Headquarters, Hager Pond Facility, Marlborough, Mass., is being awarded an $11,116,756 definite-quantity order under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract for spare parts for the AN/USC-38 weapons system. Work will be performed in Marlborough, Mass., and is expected to be completed by December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by May 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Northrop Grumman, Electronic Sensors and Systems Division, Linthicum Heights, Md., is being awarded a $9,912,959 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the research and development of the Multifunction Infrared Distributed Aperture System (MIDAS). The MIDAS Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD) program is a direct follow-on to the Distributed Aperture Infrared Sensor (DAIRS) technology development effort. The primary goal of the MIDAS ATD program is to reduce the risk associated with the DAIRS concept for Joint Strike Fighter, and to allow an acceptable entry for an Engineering & Manufacturing Development (E&MD) implementation of DAIRS. Work will be performed in Linthicum Heights, Md., and is expected to be completed by January 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under a broad agency announcement and one offer was received. Atlantic Dry Dock Corp., Jacksonville, Fla, is being awarded a $7,490,778 fixed-price contract to establish facilities capable of drydocking FFG, CG, DD, and DDG class vessels in the Jacksonville, Florida, area; provide scheduled and emergency dry-dock related repairs or alterations to these vessels; contractor is required to install, operate and maintain the government-owned drydock; and the contractor is required to re-establish certification for the dock for these vessels homeported in Mayport, Fla or other vessels operating in the area. This contract contains options which if exercised would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $68,548,238. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, Fla., and it is estimated to be completed one year after the drydock is certified (time necessary to certify drydock is uncertain). Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with seven proposals solicited and two offers received. ARMY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Missiles & Fire Control-Dallas, Grand Prairie, Texas, is being awarded a $2,000,000 increment as part of a $68,320,142 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) for a lightweight launcher, which is C-130 transportable. The contractor will deliver six maturation launchers under this contract. Work will be performed in Grand Prairie, Texas (87.2%) and Camden, Ark. General Dynamics Communication Systems, Taunton, Mass., is being awarded a $6,133,200 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAB07-94-C-N853, for 400 commercial off-the-shelf TS-21 Blackjack Mobile Fax Machines, including image servers and cables, for the active Army units in the European theater. Work will be performed in Taunton, Mass., and is expected to be completed by April 5, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
