ARMY

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Pine Bluff Sand & Gravel Co., Pine Bluff, Ark., is being awarded a $ 1,000,000 firm fixed price contract for leased dustpan dredge, shallow and deep draft crossing Mississippi River, Baton Rouge to the Gulf of Mexico. Work will be performed up and down the Mississippi River vicinity and is expected to be completed by April 28, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 9, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans, La. (DACW29-98-C-0004).

Southwest Engineering, Inc., Santa Monica, Calif., is being awarded a $9,755,000 firm fixed price contract for concreting 1.5 acre swimming and bentonite lining 9 acre recreation lakes, provide water treatment and appurtenant maintenance access roads, fishing ramps, picnic, drainage, electrical and sewer facilities, at Hansen Dam, Lakeview Terrace, L9s Angeles County, Calif. Work will be performed in Los Angeles, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 3, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 250 bids solicited on Aug. 8, 1995, and four bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los. Angeles, Calif., (DACW09-98-C-0001).

AIR FORCE

Bill Strong Enterprises, Olathe, Kan., is being awarded, a $6,420,710 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for remodeling/renovation of 88 units of military family housing, demolition of eight units, and associated sidewalk installation, road modifications, and landscaping at the Capehart Housing Complex, Offutt AFB, Neb. The work will be performed at Offutt AFB, Neb. Contract is expected to be completed April 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $114,487,031 firm-fixed-price contract to procure 105 Harpoon missiles, 31 launch kits, 53 sections, 8 spares, 95 shipping containers, integrated logistics support and depot support equipment engineering services for Taiwan (52.54%); a classified country (36.68%); Thailand (6.84%); Japan (2.39%); Egypt (.54%); Turkey (.24%); Australia (.10%); Kuwait (.08%); Korea (.08%); Saudi Arabia (.07%); United Kingdom (.07%); Singapore (.07%); Israel (.07%); Indonesia (.05%); Canada (.05%); Malaysia (.05%); Bahrain (.05%); Netherlands (.01%); Greece (.01%); and Spain (.01%) under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in various foreign countries (35%); St. Charles, Mo. (25%); McKinney, Texas (20%); Toledo, Ohio (10%); Owego, N.Y. (5%); and Cheshire, Conn. (5%), and is expected to be completed by December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0082).

  • Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Cambridge, Mass., is being awarded a $104,253,141 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide FY 98 technical engineering services in support of the guidance and control system for the TRIDENT II (D5) U.S. and U.K. Program. Work will be performed at Cambridge, Mass. (40.7%); Wilmington, Mass. (17.2%); Pittsfield, Mass. (12.8%); El Segundo, Calif. (11.7%); Wayne, N.J. (8.9%); Sudbury, Mass. (4.7%); Clearwater, Fla. (3.1%); and Woodland Hills, Calif. (.9%), and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds in the amount of $74,666,600 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Hamilton Standard (Div. of United Technologies Co.), Windsor Locks, Conn., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $44,500,000 firm-fixed-price order as a Logistics Engineering Change Proposal (LECP), for acquisition of a replacement propeller system for E-2C and C-2A aircraft, 187 propellers, options for 54 additional propellers, and an option for the acquisition of technical interface data. Work will be performed at Windsor Locks, Conn., and is expected to be completed by December 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Moore's Cafeteria Services, Inc., San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a $33,992,360 firm-fixed-price requirements contract for full food and mess attendant services at the Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Work will be performed at Camp Lejeune, N.C., and is expected to be completed by March 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 37 proposals solicited and nine offers received.
