DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Owens & Minor, Inc., Glen Allen, Va., is being awarded a $17,893,575 firm-fixed-price requirements-type contract for medical/surgical supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Work will be performed in Pelham, Ala.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Richland, Miss.; Harahan, La.; and Carrollton, Texas; and is expected to be completed by Nov. 13, 1998. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO200- 96-D-7110).

ARMY

Colts Manufacturing Company, Inc., Hartford, Conn., is being awarded a $3,126,000 increment as part of a $12,504,000 firm-fixed-price 4-year multiyear contract for 24,000 M4/M4A1 Carbines. Work will be performed in Hartford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on October 23, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM), Rock Island, Ill. (DAAE20-98-C-0008).

AIR FORCE

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $30,427,197 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 199 (best estimated quantity) Inlet Guide Vane Cases applicable to the TF33 engine on the KC-135 aircraft. The work will be performed at United Technologies/Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, Conn. Contract is expected to be completed December 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-97/D-0484).

NAVY

System Planning Corporation, Arlington, Va., is being awarded a $10,861,516 indefinite- delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for engineering and technical support for the Electronics Technology Office, Arlington, Va. The Electronics Technology Office focuses on electronic technology for information systems to perceive and control the battlefield. This contract contains options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value to $20,001,736. The work will be performed in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed by October 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using the multiple award concept with 66 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-98-D-8001).

Booz-Allen Hamilton, McLean, Va.., is being awarded a $10,561,777 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for engineering and technical support for the Electronics Technology Office, Arlington, Va. The Electronics Technology Office focuses on electronic technology for information systems to perceive and control the battlefield. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value to $12,520,955. The work will be performed in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed by October 2002.
