CONTRACTS

NAVY

United Defense Limited Partnership, Armament Systems Division, Minneapolis, Minn., is being awarded a $395,548,904 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a firm-fixed price maximum contract for procurement and support of MK38 MOD2 Machine Gun System ORDALTs, onboard repair parts, installation and checkout spares, interim spares, engineering/logistics services and provisioning technical documentation. Work will be performed in Louisville, Ky. (86 percent); Haifa, Israel (13 percent); and Minneapolis, Minn. (1 percent), and is expected to be completed by September 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunity website, with four offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, Louisville Detachment, Louisville, Ky. is the contracting activity (N63394-04-D-4000).

Pacific Defense Systems, National City, Calif., was awarded on June 4, 2004 an $87,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple-award contract, to provide Naval Surface Warfare Center, Combatant Craft Department, marine boatyard and industrial support services. Marine boatyard and industrial support includes materials and services related to specific modifications, upgrades, service-life extension and repairs to non-commissioned boats, service craft or their associated systems, and periodic maintenance, as tasked by delivery orders issued under this contract. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by June 2009. Contract funds in the amount of $50,000, will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured and advertised on the Internet, with six offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-04-D-4423).

Kuchera Defense Systems, Inc.*, Windber, Pa., is being awarded a ceiling priced $26,694,747 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to develop a roll-on/roll-off reconnaissance system for a C-130 airframe to include an unmanned air vehicle command and control surveillance station for reconnaissance and precision delivery/re-supply functions. Work will be performed in Windber, Pa., and is expected to be completed in June 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through a Broad Agency Announcement with eight offers received. The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-04-D-0088).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing, Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $60,941,764 fixed price with economic price adjustment type contract for aviation turbine fuel for the Air Force. Work will also be performed in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Performance completion date is expected to be July 30, 2005. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 17 proposals solicited and 14 responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va.

ARMY

Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., was awarded on June 4, 2004, a $30,082,732 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 1,099 TOW 2B AERO generation 2 Missiles, 207 2A practice missiles, and 104 TOW 2B missiles. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on July 15, 2002. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-04-C-0061).

Terex Corp., Westport, Conn., was awarded on June 4, 2004, a delivery order amount of $1,079,354 as part of a $10,669,858 firm-fixed-price contract for six 50-ton, 6x4 trucks with low bed trailers. Work will be performed in Tacoma, Wash., and is expected to be completed by June 7, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on April 29, 2004, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-04-D-B035).

AIR FORCE

Herley Industries, Lancaster, Pa., is being awarded a $12,600,000 firm fixed price contract to provide for low noise assembly and modular low power radio frequency. A quantity of 4 each production articles will be procured for evaluation by the Air Force LGF engineering office. An estimated quantity of 1304 each will be procured in support of USAF requirements. An estimated quantity of 900 each will be procured in support of Foreign Military Sales requirements. This is in support of the F-16 aircraft under the Falcon Flex Program. No funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by December 2009. Solicitation began February 2004 and negotiations were completed February 2004. The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (FA8212-04-D-0009).

Northrop-Grumman Mission Systems, Clearfield, Utah, is being awarded a $5,749,884 cost-plus fixed-fee contract modification to provide for attrition hardware nozzle pathfinder effort to acquire additional stage 3 nozzles for the Minute III weapon system. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by May 2005. Negotiations were completed June 2004. The Headquarters Odgen Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42610-98-C-0001).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Skeeta, Inc.*, Bradenton, Fla., is being awarded a $7,140,000 firm fixed price with definite quantity delivery type of contract for insect net protector for the Army. Performance completion date is expected to be August 30, 2004. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one proposal solicitation and one responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0100-04-C-4324).
