NAVY

Oshkosh Truck Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., is being awarded a $30,414,471 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price option exercise contract (DAAE07-99-C-M007) to exercise an option which provides for the procurement of an additional 199 Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacements (MTVR) for Production Year 3 of the multi-year basic contract for the Marine Corps MTVR program. Work will be performed in Oshkosh, Wis., and is expected to be completed by 31 July 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $1,673,971 will expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.

Healy Tibbitts Builders, Inc., Aiea, Hawaii, is being awarded a $21,772,580 firm-fixed price contract for a sewer outfall extension at Fort Kamehamea, Pearl Harbor. The work to be performed provides for installation of approximately 3,901 meters of effluent ocean outfall pipelines including a diffuser and incidental related work. Work will be performed in Oahu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by October 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 62 proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific Division, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62742-95-C-1307).

BAE Systems Applied Technologies, Rockville, Md., is being awarded $19,089,614 cost-plus-fixed-fee, term, services contract to provide technical and engineering services to support the design, development, installation, integration, test and evaluation, and certification of radio communications systems for the Navy's guided missile destroyer (DDG) and guided missile cruiser (CG) class ships. The estimated level of effort for the base contract period is 334,500 man-hours. Work will be performed in California, Md. (60%) and St. Inigoes, Md. (40%), and is expected to be completed in June 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with eight firms requesting the solicitation and 1 offer was received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-01-C-0077).

Mantech Systems Engineering Corp., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $9,476,255 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee, term, services contract (N00421-97-C-1430) to exercise an option to provide technical and engineering services in support of communication-electronics systems. The estimated level of effort for this option is 407,720 man-hours. Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md. (95%) and St. Inigoes, Md. (5%), and is expected to be completed in June 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $146,506 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.

ChemoCentryx, Inc., San Carlos, Calif., is being awarded a $5,677,082 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development of pathogen countermeasures and advanced medical diagnostics having greatest impact on the protection of personnel during military operations. The contract efforts will primarily support the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency's (DARPA) Defense Sciences Office, Unconventional Pathogenic Countermeasures (UPC) program. This contract contains options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $6,420,155. Work will be performed in San Carlos, Calif., and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured, having been published in the Commerce Business Daily and posted in CBDNet. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-01-C-8009).

ARMY

Wallace L. Boldt, General Contractor Inc.*, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a $5,260,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a new Veterinary Care Instructional Facility. The contractor will build a new one-story building, approximately 32,000 sq. feet in area, to include office, instructional and veterinary care (animal handling and medical treatment) spaces. Construction includes concrete foundation and floor slab; steel structural framing; modified bitumen membrane and concrete tile roofing; steel stud exterior and interior wall framing; limestone veneer and EIFS (exterior insulation and finish system) wall finish; drywall, ceramic tile and fiber-reinforced plastic interior wall finish; drywall and acoustical lay-in ceiling finishes; and carpet, ceramic tile and resilient floor finishes. The project includes demolition of existing building structures and associated hazardous and toxic waste disposal. Site work includes draining ponds and structures, chain link and decorative fencing, concrete walks and curbs, asphalt paving, and turfing with minimal landscaping. Work will be performed at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 9, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 126 bids solicited on April 19, 2001, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACA63-01-C-0006).
