Sealift Inc., Oyster Bay, N.Y., is being awarded a $10,751,304 firm-fixed-price contract with reimbursables for the 17-month time charter of the commercial T-1 tanker Bitten Theresa, which will be used to transport Department of Defense fuel from Korea to Japan. The charter is in support of the Defense Energy Support Center, which procures fuel for U.S. military operations worldwide. This contract includes options, which if exercised, would bring the estimated cumulative value of this contract to $27,730,162. Work will be performed primarily within Japanese waters with options for worldwide services as well, and is expected to be completed by August 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with more than 120 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00033-01-C-5401).

Azteca/S&G, a joint venture, Dallas, Texas, was awarded $100,000 on Nov. 22, 2000, as part of a not-to-exceed $25,000,000 firm-fixed-price, multi-year contract to provide labor, materials, equipment and supervision to perform real property repair, maintenance and minor construction for military and civil projects. Work will be performed within the Southwestern Division boundaries including the states of Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico, and is expected to be completed by November 21, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 124 bids solicited on May 1, 2000, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock, Ark., is the contracting activity (DACA03-01-D-0003).
