The Boeing Co., Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $11,700,000 cost-plus award-fee contract modification for the B-2 Aircraft/Weapons/Electronics (A/W/E) to enable Air Force Mission Support System to provide the B-2 mission products and the loading of data loads required by both the B-2 air Vehicle and the Aircrew Training Device to execute their mission. Air Force Mission support System is the common air mission planner for the United States Air Force and United States Special Operations Command, providing automated mission planning, materials preparation, and post mission debriefing capabilities. The action, release 4.1, provides upgrades to the B-2 A/W/E that includes Link 16 mission planning capability, supports integrated functional capability and provides flight test training. Currently, $564,000 of the funds are obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be completed by September 2004.
