ARMY

Raytheon Systems Co., McKinney, Texas, is being awarded $30,484,485 as part of a $37,343,632 (base year total) firm-fixed-price, multi-year contract, with an estimated cumulative total of $338,296,062, if all options are exercised. This contract is for 407 Long-Range Scout Surveillance Systems, with options for 223 additional units, and includes maintenance support, training, spares, and initial production testing. Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 20 bids solicited on Sept. 21, 1999, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-00-C-J806).

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $32,959,406 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAJ09-97-C-0005, to exercise the option for 5 Black Hawk Helicopters (UH-60L), and 3 Lot 25 aircraft. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 17, 1995. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Swinerton & Walberg, Arvada, Colo., is being awarded $55,758,904 as part of a $70,076,529 firm-fixed-price contract to design and build Project FY2000 Major Command Air Force, North American Air Defense/U.S. Army Space Command and Major Command Army -U.S. Army Space Command Headquarters Facilities. Work will be performed at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 191 bids solicited on Nov. 30, 1999, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb., is the contracting activity (DACA45-00-C-0007).

Raytheon Systems Co., Los Angeles, Calif., is being awarded a $40,095,024 firm-fixed-price contract for Full Rate Production 5, for 24 Sentinel Radars and initial spares. Work will be performed in Los Angeles, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 11, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-00-C-0059).

Sikorsky Aircraft Co., Stratford, Conn., was awarded on March 28, 2000, a $28,888,052 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAJ09-97-C-0005, for 14 Aircraft (UH-60L Black Hawk) configured to CH-60S Navy Aircraft. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 13, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Honeywell Solid State Electronics Center, Plymouth, Minn., is being awarded a $2,250,000 increment as part of a $19,934,937 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for development and demonstration of a fully scaled .25 Micron Application Specific Integrated Circuit family. Work will be performed in Plymouth, Minn., and is expected to be completed by March 20, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was a broad agency announcement on May 15, 1998, and 55 bids were received. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Dulles Airport, Va., is the contracting activity (DTRA01-00-C-0017).

Alcan General Inc.*, Anchorage, Alaska, is being awarded a $6,054,963 firm-fixed-price contract to design and build a combination office/maintenance space, including a secure access area not to exceed 2,360 sq. meters. The project includes site clearing, extension of utilities to the structure, grading, paving, lighting, parking, landscaping and other improvements, and includes demolition of existing Building 4365. Work will be performed at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, and is expected to be completed by June 9, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 151 bids solicited on Nov. 10, 1999, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Anchorage, Alaska, is the contracting activity (DACA85-00-C-0008).

NAVY

General Electric Aircraft Engines, General Electric Company, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $21,475,764 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the FY 00 Component Improvement Program for the F-404, T-58, and T-64 engines. The Component Improvement Program provides engineering support, studies, and testing to resolve field safety, maintainability, and readiness problems, maintain performance, and qualify design changes where return-on investment can be realized. This contract involves combined efforts for the U.S. Navy (57%), the U.S. Air Force (1.9%), and the governments of Singapore (12.1%); Canada (7%); Spain (5.1%); Australia (4.1%); Finland (3.3%); Kuwait (2.2%); Sweden (2%); Switzerland (1.8%); Israel (1.7%); Japan (1.4%) and Malaysia (.4%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass. (90%) and Evendale, Ohio (10%), and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-99-C-1427).

Logicon Inc., Logicon Information Solutions, Reston, Va., is being awarded a $16,013,388 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, time and material contract to provide engineering and technical support services and material for the design, installation, and update/maintenance of new and existing Command, Control, Computer, and Intelligence (C4I) systems that support the fleet and joint warfighter. This contract contains four one-year options, which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $81,787,077. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. (52.5%); Charleston, S.C. (30%) and Reston, Va. (17.5%), and is expected to be completed by March 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the SPAWAR Business Opportunities Web page and seven offers were received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston, S.C. is the contracting activity (N65236-00-D-6707).

Logicon Inc., Logicon Information Solutions, Reston, Va. , is being awarded a $625,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for modeling and simulation, advanced concepts and technologies, and operational experimentation and prototype support. This contract includes options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative potential value of this contract to $46,471,553. Work will be performed in San Diego, and is expected to be completed by March 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Commerce Business Daily and the SPAWAR e-commerce web site with six offers received. The Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N00039-00-C-2219).
