AIR FORCE

Raytheon Systems Company, Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $162,116,271 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 439 AIM120 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles, 251 warranties, and associated spares, test, and support. This effort supports the Air Force (161 missiles and 161 warranties), Navy (90 missiles, 90 warranties, 26 flight termination destruct receivers re-certifications), foreign military sales (FMS) to Korea (159 missiles and administration support), and Bahrain (26 missiles and spares), and test of the FMS software upgrade (3 missiles). Expected contract completion date is July 31, 2002. Solicitation issue date was Dec. 19, 1997. Negotiation completion date was March 27, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08626-98-C-0018-P00018).

Osborne Construction Company, Kirland, Wash., is being awarded a $9,112,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for renovation of 68 units of military family housing at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. There were 98 firms solicited and eight proposals received. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 26, 2001. Solicitation issue date was Nov. 23, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Jan. 25, 2000. The 3rd Contracting Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, is the contracting activity (F65501-00-C0008).

CPU Technology Inc., Pleasanton, Calf., is being awarded a $6,000,000 other-transaction-agreement to provide for development of a prototype modernization kit for the array processor on the APG68 fire control radar applicable to the F-16 aircraft. An other-transaction- agreement is a unique contracting authority that permits greater flexibility to negotiate contract terms under special circumstances such as this program. Expected contract completion date is October 2001. Solicitation issue date was June 1, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Feb. 23, 2000. Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42620-00-9-0001).

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $19,200,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract to provide for long lead material required for the FY 01 follow-on production of the TRIDENT II (D5) missile system. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00030-00-C-0100).

ARMY

American Renovation & Construction*, San Diego, Calif., was awarded $9,540,000 as part of a $32,509,196 firm-fixed-price contract on March 15, 2000. The contractor will design/build/construct 60 family housing units and supporting facilities, and will demolish 72 existing units. The design and construction consists of, but is not limited to: site grading, new roads and utility systems, electric heating and cooling, energy efficient lighting and appliances, dual-pane energy efficient windows, hard wired smoke detectors, ground fault receptacles, arctic room landscaping, recreation areas, single car garages, driveways, street lighting, utility services, storm drainage, and walkways and tot-lots for the children. Work will be performed at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 48 bids solicited on Aug. 23, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif., is the contracting activity (DACA05-00-C-0003).

CH2M Mill Constructors Inc., and Record Steel Construction, a joint venture, Meridian, Idaho, is being awarded an $8,061,080 firm-fixed-price contract to design and construct a new Pilot Training Range in southern Idaho that will include a number of elements to be used as targets and for support functions. Work will be performed near Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, and is expected to be completed by March 9, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three bids solicited on Nov. 19, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle, Wash., is the contracting activity (DACA67-00-C-0214).

Oshkosh Truck Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., is being awarded a $5,957,179 firm-fixed-price contract for 136 diesel engines with container for the Heavy Equipment Transport System (HETS). Work will be performed in Detroit, Mich. (51%); Oshkosh, Wis. (40%), and Springfield, Ohio (9%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 20, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Sept. 14, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-00-C-S016).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Bob Bergkamp Construction Co. Inc., Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $3,000,000 increment as part of a $7,936,715 firm-fixed-price contract for the Arkansas City Local Flood Protection Project. The contractor will construct: 10,224 linear ft. of levee along the Arkansas River; two stop-log structures; channelization of 8,348 linear ft. of the Walnut River, and will remove and replace gravity drain pipes, pressure pipes, and inlet and outlet headwalls. The effort also includes installation of three levee access gates, 13 relief walls, 29 manholes, and 8,570 linear ft. of toe drain; and place riprap along the bank of the Arkansas River in two locations for streambank protection. Contractor will also stockpile excess material from the Walnut River Channel. Work will be performed in Arkansas City, Kansas, and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 993 bids solicited on Oct. 25, 1999, and ten bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa, Okla., is the contracting activity (DACW56-00-C-1002).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

U.S. Foodservice, La Mirada, Calif., is being awarded a $5,000,000 indefinite-quantity contract for food and beverage support under the Prime Vendor program. Work is expected to be completed by March 16, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-00-D-2945).
