Orbital Sciences Corp., Launch Systems Group, Chandler, Ariz., is being awarded a $237,850,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for a 10-year ordering period for orbital and suborbital launch systems and launch vehicle services for the integration of various payloads using excess Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missile assets. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum indicated above, though requirements may necessitate less than the amount indicated above. At this time, $50,400 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete November 2014. This is an option exercise. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though requirements may necessitate less than the amount indicated above. Sverdrup Technologies will perform this effort at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete June 2006. Lockheed Martin Corp., Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems, Syracuse, N.Y., is being awarded a $14,000,000 contract for the Pacific Alaska Range Complex Long-Range Radar System to provide a transportable radar, which includes one TPS-77 radar, power generation equipment, microwave equipment, peculiar support equipment, critical spares and operation and maintenance training. The TPS-77 radar is composed of a three dimensional L-Band primary surveillance radar and a monopoles secondary surveillance radar. The system provides air surveillance information to be used in the conduct of air sovereignty operations. At this time, $7,000,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete August 2005. Solicitations began April 2003, and negotiations were completed May 2003. Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co., Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded an $8,993,507 contract modification as an amendment to the existing system development and demonstration (SD&D) contract that was definitized April 15, 2001. The SD&D contract is for the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) System SD&D Phase. The purpose of this amendment is to increase the contract value from $2,630,166,866 to $2,639,160,373. This increase is the result of an engineering change proposal to implement a new AEHF System alternate key management plan (AKMP). The effort is within scope of the existing contract and necessitated by requirement/design changes that meet National Security Agency (NSA) security requirements that have been validated by Air Force Space Command, AFSPC/DRN. The current baseline key management plan presented logistics and maintenance requirements that could be support by the AEHF user. The system keys can't be produced until the NSA approves the AKMP. These changes must be implemented to avoid possible impact to the launch schedule. The locations of performance are Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space, Sunnyvale, Calif., and TRW Inc., Space and Electronics Group, Redondo Beach, Calif. At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be complete June 2008. Forrester Construction Co., Rockville, Md., is being awarded $7,066,000 for firm-fixed-price Task Order 0015 under an indefinite-quantity multiple award construction contract for security improvements at Gates 2 and 3A and shoreline security fencing Piers 11, 12 and 14 at Naval Station Norfolk. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by September 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 60 offers solicited, 24 proposals received and award made to multiple contractors on Aug. 19, 1999. The basic total contract amount for all contractors is not to exceed $500,000,000. The multiple contractors (five in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Three proposals were received for this task order.
