CONTRACTS
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Coastal Refining and Marketing, Inc., Houston, Texas, is
being awarded a $69,891,928 fixed price with economic price
adjustment contract for F76, naval turbine distillate fuel.
Three hundred seventy one proposals were solicited and thirty
were received. Work will be performed in Corpus Christi, Texas,
and is expected to be completed by April 30, 1998. Funds will
not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel
Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity
(SP0600-97-D-0478).
Coastal Aruba Refining Company, N.V., Houston, Texas, is
being awarded a $21,726,240 fixed price with economic price
adjustment contract for JP8 aviation turbine fuel. Three hundred
seventy one proposals were solicited and thirty were received.
Work will be performed in San Nicholas, Aruba, and is expected to
be completed by April 30, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end
of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply Center, Fort
Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-97-D-0479).
NAVY
GNB Industrial Battery Co., Lombard, Ill., is being awarded
a $6,078,930 firm-fixed-price contract for the acquisition of
Guppy I MOD C & MOD E type Submarine Batteries, spare cells,
sample cells, field engineering services and associated data.
Work will be performed
in Kankakee, Ill., and is expected to be completed by March 1999.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval
Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity
(N00024-97-C-4092).
Kiewit Pacific Co., Kapolei, Hawaii, is being awarded a
$16,795,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an
Aircraft Apron and modifications to an Aircraft Wash and Rinse
Facility at the Marine Corps Base, Hawaii, Kanehoe Bay, Oahu.
Work will be performed on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii, and is
expected to be completed by October 1998. Contract funds will
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was
competitively procured with 88
proposals solicited and eight offers received. The Naval
Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific Division, Pearl Harbor,
Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62742-95-C-1341).
AIR FORCE
KPMG Peat Marwick, Sacramento, Calif., was awarded on Feb.
27, 1997, an $8,000,000 face value increase to a indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for strategic
business planning, analysis, and consulting services regarding
matters related to the closure of McClellan AFB, Calif. The work
will be performed at McClellan AFB, Calif. Contract is expected
to be completed July 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. Sacramento Air Logistics Center,
McClellan AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04699-97/D-
0042).
ARMY
Hensel Phelps Construction Co., Greeley, Colo., is being
awarded a $30,820,642 firm fixed price contract for construction
of the enlisted barracks complex, Phase I. Work will be
performed at Fort Carson, Colo., and is expected to be completed
by Oct. 1, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. There were 26 bids solicited on Dec.
23, 1996, and two bids were received. The contracting activity
is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb. (DACA45-97-C-
0023).
Computing Analyses Corp., Arlington, Va., is being awarded a
$12,013,660 increment as part of a $43,051,484 cost plus fixed
fee contract for research and development. Work will be
performed in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed by
March 5, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. There were 43 bids solicited on Aug. 15,
1996, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the
U.S. Army Information Systems Command, Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
