NAVY
Lockheed Martin Aircraft and Logistics Centers, Greenville, S.C., is being awarded a $125,852,042 ceiling-priced modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contract (N00019-05-D-0013) to exercise an option for the P-3C Sustainment, Modification and Installation Program. Work will be performed in Greenville, S.C., and is expected to be completed in June 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $9,527,353 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-06-D-0007) for AV-8B Harrier post production support services, including engineering analysis, testing, suitability evaluations, effectiveness evaluations, configuration management support, and resolving reliability, availability, and/or supportability problems. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. and is expected to be completed in November 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity.
Northrop Grumman Corp., ES Power/Control Systems, Sykesville, Md., is being awarded a $7,575,650 order against a previously awarded indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract (N68335-02-D-0023) for 11 Valve Actuation and Control (VAC) system production units (9 for the engine and 2 for common items). The VAC system is intended to replace the existing control and actuation system of the Mark 7 Aircraft Arresting Gear. Work will be performed in Sykesville, Md. (80 percent) and Thorofare, N.J. (20 percent) and is expected to be completed in June 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.
AIR FORCE
New Beginning Enterprises Inc., Johnson City, Tenn., is being awarded a $37,653,916 contract. This action provides for an internet-based contractors operated parts store (ICOPARS), which will provide a venue for personnel in the Southwest Asia area of operations to purchase vehicle parts. The government shall require contractor delivery of specific products by issuance of delivery orders. At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be complete June 2011. 20th Contracting Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., is the contracting activity (FA4803-06-D-0002).
Akamai Physics Inc., Las Cruces, N.M., is being awarded a $10,296,089 cost-plus-fixed- fee contract modification. The Bright Onyx is a compact, active multi-spectral chemical sensor operating in the 5-um region for remote chemical detection of chemicals associated with weapons of mass destruction that may be transported on ships inbound to United States ports. The Bright Onyx sensor must operate at UAV airspeeds and ranges with detection sensitivities of 10ppm*m and meet UAV power, weight, and size requirements. At this time, $2,795,000 has been obligated. Solicitations began March 2006 and negotiations were complete June 2006. This work will be complete June 2008. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FS8650-04-C-1714/P00004).
Telephonics Corp., Farmingdale, N.Y., is being awarded a $6,357,234 firm fixed price contract. This action will upgrade the Flight Test Brassboard Identity Friend of Foe Interrogator and obtain AIMS certification for the Mod 5/S AN/UPX-40 interrogator at the box level. Which will perform environmental testing electro metric integrates/electro metric condition, vibration/shock and temperature/humidity tests, etc). Integrate crypto units so that the platform can procure the interrogator for individual platform integration purpose. At this time, total funds have been obligated. Solicitations began February 2006 and negotiations were complete May 2006. This work will be complete January 2008. Airborne Early Warning & Control Systems Group, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (FA8704-06-C-0001).
