CONTRACTS
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Wolverine World Wide, Inc., Rockford, Mich., is being
awarded an estimated minimum $9,398,557 indefinite quantity
contract for intermediate cold/wet boots. Forty-four proposals
were solicited and four were received. Work will be performed in
Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; Big Rapids, Mich. and Rockford, Mich.,
and is expected to be completed by May, 1998. The Defense
Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting
activity (SP0100-97-D-1005).
Wellco Enterprises, Inc., Waynesville, N.C., is being
awarded an estimated minimum $6,352,959 indefinite quantity
contract for intermediate cold/wet boots. Forty-four proposals
were solicited and four were received. Work will be performed in
Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; Nelsonville, Ohio and Waynesville, N.C.,
and is expected to be completed by May, 1998. The Defense
Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting
activity (SP0100-97-D-1006).
ARMY
Oshkosh Truck Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., is being awarded a
$6,338,285 modification to a firm fixed price contract for 74
Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks (HEMTTs). Work will be
performed in Oshkosh, Wis., and is expected to be completed by
Sept. 30, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on
June 26, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-
automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-95-C-X123).
Hughes Aircraft Co., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a
$47,742,775 modification (exercising options to the basic
contract) to a firm fixed price contract for Ground Based (GB)
Sensors, 28 ea.; GB Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Sensors (for
Turkey), 2 ea.; Sys Peculiar and Peculiar Spt, 2 Lots; Data Line
Item,1 Lot; Material Fielding Spt 4 Job; Warranty Admin of GB
Sensor Sys 1 Job; Changes to GB Sensors, Sys Spt 1 Lot; On-call
Technical Spt 1 Lot; Lifecycle
Software Spt, 1 Lot; and System Replenishment Spares/Repair
parts, and production spares.
Work will be performed in Forest, Miss. (70%); El Segundo, Calif.
(20%); and El Paso, Texas (10%), and is expected to be completed
by Feb. 25, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract
initiated on Feb. 19, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S.
Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-91-C-0002).
NAVY
Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, is being
awarded a $5,675,000 firm-fixed-price delivery order against a
basic ordering agreement for the fabrication and installation of
11 Night Targeting System/Cockpit Canopy Modifications into 10
USMC AH-1W Helicopters and one USMC Composite Maintenance
Trainer. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and is
expected to be completed by May 1999. Contract funds would not
have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This
contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems
Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00019-96-G-
0211).
ARINC, Inc., Annapolis, Md., is being awarded a $8,042,759
indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee
contract for technical and engineering support services for the
Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division's Test and Evaluation
Engineering Department in Lexington Park, Md. This contract
includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative
value of the entire contract to $73,905,333. Work will be
performed in Lexington Park, Md., and is expected to be completed
by September 1997. Contract funds would not have expired at the
end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively
procured by a request for proposal and one offer was received.
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River,
Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-97-D-1213).
AIR FORCE
McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a
$106,256,057 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract
to provide for four F-15E aircraft. Contract is expected to be
completed January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center,
Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-
96/C-0003, P00005).
Nichols Research Corp., Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a
$56,613,531 face value increase to a cost plus award fee contract
to provide for integration of a High Performance Computing
capability, including system integration, support infrastructure
services, and training in support of the Aeronautical Systems
Center Major Shared Resource Center. Contract is expected to be
completed April 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end
of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-
