Evaluation Events and Training

The EPA seeks to encourage the development of professional evaluation skills by sharing information on evaluation training opportunities. The list below highlights opportunities for external training. This list is offered for informational purposes only; inclusion on or omission from this list does not imply any sort of endorsement or other judgement by EPA. Additionally, many of the conferences listed have no affiliation with EPA.

American Evaluation Association. AEA is an international professional association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration of program evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other forms of evaluation. Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM). The APPAM is dedicated to improving public policy and management by fostering excellence in research, analysis and education. The APPAM supports decision-making and policy making theory, quantitative and other methods of analyzing public policies and their implementations. EETAP/University of Wisconsin-Steven Point (UWSP). The Environmental Education and Training Partnership (EETAP) and the U>S. Fish and Wildlife Services (FWS) National Conversation Training Center is offering on-line scholarship courses to assist environmental educators and natural resources professionals in evaluating education programs. Evaluator's Institute. The Evaluators' Institute is now offering three certificate programs to support the development of professional evaluators. Each program is designed to offer alternative ways for enhancement in knowledge, skills, and attitude to conduct evaluations that are valid, informative, and useful.
