This web site compiles the presentations, abstracts, highlights, panel discussion summaries, and biographies of the presenters at the Nanotechnology and OSWER Symposium 2006.
Nanotechnology is the understanding and control of matter at dimensions of roughly one to 100 nanometers, where unique phenomena enable novel applications. Nanotechnology has enormous potential to change the way we do things, but also presents new challenges to solid waste management. In July 2006, an international group of renowned legal, academic, and industrial experts in the field of nanotechnology met to discuss how nanomaterials will affect solid waste practices.
