The U.S. EPA Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools (IAQ TfS) Awards Program was initiated to recognize schools and school districts that have demonstrated a strong commitment to improving children's health by promoting good indoor air quality (IAQ) practices.  For those schools and districts just beginning to implement IAQ management plans to those who have mature, sustainable, district-wide IAQ programs, EPA provides a series of national-level awards.  As the stature of the awards increases, so does the value gained by each recipient through improved IAQ and the resulting health and performance of faculty, staff and students.

During EPA's annual IAQ Tools for Schools National Symposium, the winners of EPA’s prestigious IAQ Tools for Schools National Excellence Award are honored.  Award winners are featured at an awards reception where Symposium participants learn firsthand how the award-winning schools are implementing effective IAQ management programs.  EPA has presented National Excellence awards to nearly 80 schools and school districts in recognition of their dedication to improving IAQ (go to the National Map and click on a state to read about winners in your area).  Your school or district could be an award winner too.
