Toxics Release Inventory Program

Important change to 2008 TRI reporting requirements is in effect!

TRI Program promulgates the Toxics Release Inventory Form A Eligibility Revisions Implementing the 2009 Omnibus Appropriations Act Rule
In response to a Congressional mandate in the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009, the TRI program has promulgated The Toxics Release Inventory Form A Eligibility Revisions Implementing the 2009 Omnibus Appropriations Act Rule. This rule modifies Form A eligibility provided for at 40 C.F.R. section 372.27 (Alternate thresholds and certifications). For PBT chemicals, this final rule eliminates Form A eligibility for those chemicals listed at 40 C.F.R. section 372.28. For non-PBT chemicals, today’s final rule reinstates the 500-pound annual reporting amount (the total of releases and other waste management) and 1,000,000 pounds manufactured, processed or otherwise used Form A eligibility threshold in effect prior to December 22, 2006. This includes releases and waste management activities (Section 8.1 through and including Section 8.7) which are counted against the 500 pound threshold criterion.

TRI-MEweb and TRI-MEdesktop RY2008 Now Available for Filing TRI Reports.
The RY2008 TRI-MEweb module and the RY 2008 TRI-MEdesktop software are now available for creating and submitting TRI reports. This is the final year that the TRI program intends to produce the TRI-MEdesktop software so users are encouraged to try the TRI-MEweb application even if they do not file their reports with it. Still have questions whether to use TRI-MEweb or TRI-MEdesktop?
Note: Dioxin reports will not be able to use the TRI-MEdesktop software to file via TRI-MEweb or on paper forms.
