Presentations and Action Items
The 2008 Pacific Southwest Organic Residuals Symposium focused on ways to establish the net environmental benefits of various options for organic residuals management, with sessions and posters on cross media regulation of organic residuals, impacts of salinity, antimicrobial compounds in biosolids, and pathogens in manures, and smart planning by municipalities to achieve optimum uses. Following the presentations, an open space forum was held for participants to discuss and strategize on areas of particular concern. Included here are presentations from the four sessions, related posters, and notes from the Cross Media Session and Open Space discussions.
