Technical Abstract: Information regarding the upcoming data release (DSID-1) of analytically-based dietary supplement nutrient data for products reported in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) will be presented. The food intakes for U.S. population groups determined from this survey are used by researchers to evaluate diet and health interrelationships. This database will facilitate the assessment of vitamin and mineral intakes from dietary supplements as a complement to those nutrients provided by food intake. Information regarding the research findings and the publicly accessible database will be included. This research is funded in part by the Office of Dietary Supplements, National Institutes of Health.
