This year's CFC theme, "Be a Star in Someone's Life!" touches on the impact that you can have on someone's life. So often, we identify with moviestars and icons, placing them high on our list of people we aspire to be like. Too often, we forget the impact we can have in our own communities.

Congratulations to each of you for your excellent work on behalf of the more than 3,400 charities in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC or Campaign) of the National Capital Area. Through your efforts and those of your coordinators, team captains, and keyworkers, we helped to make history by raising over $60 million for charity in the Washington Metropolitan Area. This is an extremely generous outpouring of care and concern by Federal employees.
