NEIC Environmental Forensic Library Services

The National Enforcement Investigations Center (NEIC) Environmental Forensic Library partners with its scientists and engineers to retrieve, validate, and deliver information to develop methods, defensible regulations, and environmental measurements.

The Library serves OECA and NEIC staff, along with other EPA regional, headquarters offices, and federal, state, and local agencies working for environmental enforcement and compliance.

Hours of Operation

The NEIC Library is open to the public by appointment. Please call or email the library if you wish to make an appointment.

Borrowing Policy and Interlibrary Loans

Library staff is available to assist users in identifying and accessing EPA’s publicly-searchable databases; electronic access to EPA technical reports, news, data sources & Internet sources; making referrals to EPA information sources; instructing in the use of the EPA Library Catalog and the EPA National Library Network.

To locate EPA library and repository materials, you can search the Online Library System (OLS), EPA Libraries' online catalog. If you have any questions, please call or e-mail the library.

Information For Other Libraries: The NEIC Library provides Inter-Library Loans of unique Library materials to other libraries through the Interlibrary Loan system. Librarians are available to assist with alternate loan methods as needed.  NEIC's OCLC symbol is EOB.
