Upcoming Career Fairs - Orientations - Contact Information

DEA is currently seeking individuals interested in becoming DEA Special Agents who are currently in possession of, or who will graduate within 90 days with, a Bachelor Degrees in the areas of FINANCE, ACCOUNTING, or ECONOMICS (minimum 12 hours of accounting in the ECONOMICS degree). These skills will be utilized to assist DEA in fulfilling its mission to seize and forfeit the assets derived from illicit drug trafficking.

Other basic hiring criteria include:

  • You are a U.S. citizen.
  • You have a current valid driver's license.
  • You are willing to relocate.
  • You have never been convicted of a felony or crime of domestic violence.
  • You have never used any illegal drugs beyond the experimental use of marijuana.

If you meet these criteria, and have a Bachelors Degree in FINANCE, ACCOUNTING or ECONOMICS, or a definable financial background call #312/886-2856 and leave a contact telephone number.

Special Agent Applicant Orientation Sessions will be held at the Chicago Field Division Office, 230 S. Dearborn, Suite 1200, Chicago, Illinois on the following dates:
  • Friday, April 17, 2009 at 10:00am
  • Friday, April 17, 2009 at 1:30pm
