Arnold R. Moorin
Special Agent in Charge
Seattle Field Division

On May 31, 2007, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Arnold R. Moorin was reassigned from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Houston Field Division to the DEA Seattle Field Division.

Mr. Moorin began his law enforcement career in June 1975, with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), in his hometown of Washington D.C. While working as a police officer and sergeant for MPD, Mr. Moorin worked in uniform and plain clothes in several of the city’s police districts, and the Narcotics Division.

In August 1986, Mr. Moorin became a Special Agent with the DEA. During his career with DEA he served as a Special Agent in the New York Field Division; Instructor at the DEA Training Academy in Quantico, Virginia; Group Supervisor and Assistant Special Agent in Charge in the DEA Los Angeles Field Division. While Mr. Moorin was assigned to DEA Headquarters he served as a Staff Coordinator in the Office of Domestic Operations; Board Member with the DEA Board of Professional Conduct; and the Deciding Official for all disciplinary matters involving DEA employees.

Mr. Moorin was appointed to the Senior Executive Service position on
April 1, 2005, and was assigned as the Associate Special Agent in Charge in the Houston Field Division.

Mr. Moorin has a Master of Education Degree (‘95) from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice (’75) from the University of Maryland.

He is happily married and has two children.
