Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)

The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) was established in 1976. This law was passed as the primary statute for regulating solid and hazardous waste. Our goals are to protect human health and the environment; to reduce waste and conserve energy and natural resources; and to reduce or eliminate the generation of hazardous waste as quickly and proficiently as possible.
