Figure 6 is a photograph of a sidewalk ramp installed parallel to a building face to eliminate an
existing step at an entrance. Two steps connect the landing at the entry to the sidewalk at the
other end of the ramp. A low stone wall provides edge protection between the two sidewalk
levels. No handrails are required because the ramp is less than 6 feet long and rises fewer than 6
inches. |
