  • Micro-Enterprise: (expired: December 31, 2004):

The purpose of this limited solicitation was to make funding available under 20 CRF 669.240(b) to award grants that provide technical assistance and training to farmworkers who may wish to leave agricultural labor and to pursue micro-enterprise activities.

A white paper was developed that provides guidance to the grantees on the methodologies and procedures used during implementation and guidance on how to duplicate these efforts.

  • The Findings from the National Agricultural Workers Survey (NAWS) 2001-2002, Research Report No. 9, is now available on the U. S. Department of Labor’s website. The report, produced through a collaboration of the U. S. Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Policy, and Aguirre International, Inc. includes demographic information for migrant and seasonal farmworkers in the United States.
