WETLAND EDUCATION

EC’s Education Division works to increase understanding of, foster appreciation for, and encourage the stewardships of wetland systems.

This is accomplished through materials and curriculum development, schoolyard habitat development and innovative outreach programs.

EC invites Formal and Non-formal Educators to visit the Educator Training webpage for additional information related to course offerings, workshops, and other professional development opportunities.

Government, Engineers, Landscapers, Graduate Students,or any other practitioner interested in increasing their wetland knowledge are encouraged to visit the Professional Training page for course dates and registration information.

Want to build a wetland in your schoolyard? We can make it happen. Bring the students out of the classroom and into the wonderful world of wetlands. Visit the Schoolyard Habitats page to see recent "success stories", and for educator contact information.

Environmental Concern has developed a series of wetland education resources including WOW! The Wonders of Wetlands, the most-used wetland education resource in the world.

Environmental Concern works as the CEPA (Communication, Education and Public Awareness) liaison for the US National Ramsar Committee.
