Q: How can I find the nutrient content of a particular food? |
A: 1. Go to the USDA National Nutrient Database at http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/ 2. Enter the food as keyword (i.e. "banana") and click submit. 3. On the resulting page click the button next to the description of the food you want information on (i.e. "Bananas, raw") and click submit. 4. On the resulting page select the serving size (i.e. "1 medium") and click submit. 5. The resulting page lists the nutrient content quantities in the food (i.e. "medium sized raw banana") |

They have a database called Agricola which tracks many of the Agriculture publications. |
