You will find links to a variety of photo galleries and multimedia presentations, as well as a link to the webcam at the Point Reyes Lighthouse Visitor Center. Check back every so often to find out what new content has been added.

The most recent additions are podcasts on the Park Science Day held on January 15, 2009, and on White Sharks of the Northern Pacific, a link to Your Wetlands' podcast about the Giacomini Wetland Restoration Project, and links to Wild Sound Stories featuring sounds recorded in and around Point Reyes.

In September 2008, the photo galleries for the 2008 Sand Sculpture Contest were posted. We are also in the process of moving photos from older Sand Sculpture Contests to this newer platform, so check back often.

California red-legged frog  

Did You Know?
So many California red-legged frogs were caught for consumption in the late 1800's that their numbers declined throughout California. So bullfrogs were imported from the east to help meet the demand. But bullfrogs are voracious predators and helped drive the red-legged frog population lower yet.
