Revision of Application Availability Date for the Fiscal Year 
(FY) 1999 Grant Competition for the Minority Science and Engineering 
Improvement Program

    On December 29, 1998, a notice was published inviting applications 
for new awards for FY 1999 under the Minority Science and Engineering 
Improvement Program (63 FR 71625-71626). The purpose of this notice is 
to revise the application availability date. This action is taken as a 
result of the unavailability of applications until January 15, 1999. 
The closing date for applications, March 5, 1999, will remain the same.
