Dear Sir or Madam:

It has come to my attention that new proposals are being hurried to approval that will potentially weigh down my ability as a financial services professional to serve my clients.

I greatly appreciate the burden and heavy load you carry in ensuring the ethical and honest underpinnings of the financial services industry.

Paperwork that tries to step into the interview and advisory process and stop legitimate and helpful services from being offered to the public will and do presently backfire.

The regulatory load cannot eliminate clever and often quiet scam artists. The load makes the ehtical and honest practitioner unable to concentrate on the clients needs and goals and offer in place of such a blurry jumbled excess of paperwork that leaves the client confused and unable to concentrate on the ultimate financial service goal.

I humbly ask that you extend your waiting period on new burdensome regulations to allow for greater scrutiny and examination of the repercussions of these recent proposals.

Please allow more professionals and industry spokesmen to analyze and cooperatively work on achieving sound regulations without overburdensome beaurocracy and paper pushing.

My clients need service and advice on their financial goals. They do not need to be instructed on how to think and complete reems of paperwork.

Sincerely,

Robert M Wood, ChFC, CLU
