I purchased a 5 year Class B Mutual Fund from Bank One, and 2 years into it I was dinged with an annual maintenance fee that would only be waived by purchasing more shares. Under the What you pay for purchases section I would like to see something to the effect of Issuing bank reserves right to levy maintenance fee up to X dollars and Issuing bank waives the right to levy any additional fees during the course of the investment with check boxes next to each. That way an investor can have the bank check the second box as a condition of his purchase if he wants to avoid unexpected fees.
