Upfront, honest, consumer information makes for better decision making for consumer.
I want to be responsible for my financial decisions, thus need financial advisers to be forthcoming about all fees and third party interests that benefit from my decision. I think it will take some of the mystery out investments. I am new to investment, however, I did not understand the fee structures on mutual funds, thus ended up paying up front. Had all fees been presented and explained to me as it pertained to my long term goals, I would be happier with my choices. I would also have not gone with the mutual fund company that I did, but with one that did not have the up front fees
